Mrs. Diana Gonzalez
I was born in Alice, Texas.  I graduated from Alice High School in 1975.  I received my undergraduate degree in education from Texas A & I Kingsville in 1998.  I have been teaching in the math department for 11 years at WAMS in Alice.  (I am also pretty sure I will die in Alice.)
I am the proud mother of 3 children, Daliana, Delinda, and Rafael (known as Cubby).  I am also the proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren, Daniella, Dalyla, and Jose Rolando (known as Tres). I love camping, playing Bunco and eating.  Oh, how I love to eat!  I always thought a great vacation would be to travel all over Texas and eat many exotic foods.

Mr. Juan Meza
I was born and raised in Kingsville, on July 29, 1962.     I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters, to which I am very close to.   We phone or visit one another on a weekly basis.   I have been married to my wonderful wife, Belen for 17 years with our anniversary approaching May 16th.   We have 3 exceptional, wonderful and talented boys:  Frank 15, Esteban 13 and Alekzander 7 years of age.   No girls, perhaps adoption in the future??
The King Ranch in Kingsville employs my wife and my son’s attend schools in Kingsville ISD and Santa Gertrudis ISD.
I have had the privilege of having served my country for over 29 years.   My military service has taken me to places I would not have been able to go and experience.   Europe, the Middle East and the Orients, and as far up as Greenland and Iceland to which all have given me an insight as to how much we all have in common.
As a family we have traveled to over 25 states, driving and traveling by train.   In Minnesota seeing the Mall of America was “costly.”    South Dakota and its majestic sites, “wow.”   While Washington D.C. is just fabulous, having my son (middle) sit on President Lincoln’s lap was an unforgettable image he will never erase.   It is those images of life that paint the realism of how sweet life can be. I have had the privilege of serving the future leaders of Alice, Texas for over 6 years combined.   When I was offered the chance to begin my career as an educator here, it was then that I decided that I would stay here as long as I am needed.  My most memorable moments in life include my wedding day, the birth of my sons, meeting dignitaries and having the responsibility of accounting, maintaining and serving 500 soldiers-by myself for 3 years and with a property accountability of close to 150 million dollars. “What a nightmare!”Close moments have been numerous and it is with that I have realized how lucky I am.   Many times I ask myself how come I deserve such good fortunes.    It is with that that I ascertain my beliefs that as much as I have been fed in life I must now feed those that are hungry.   What a pleasure it is to serve and teach.

Words from our Principal!

As we embark on a new semester at William Adams Middle School (WAMS), several changes will take place to address your child's academic needs.  Some of the changes will include an emphasis on specific TAKS objectives identified as areas of concern.  Our highest priority is ensuring that all students are successful at WAMS.  As a reminder, the Student Success Initiative requires us to retain a student who has not mastered the eighth grade TAKS test.
The revised bell schedule is one of the changes that will be taking place beginning the second semester.  We will be adding a 40 minutes TAKS Assistance Period (TAP) in the middle of the school day.  Our first bell will ring at 7:50am and school day will end at 3:24pm.  Having your child at school on time everyday will help them be successful this school year and years to come.
We are confident that you will assist us in keeping classroom disruptions to a minimum by picking up your child for scheduled appointments between bells/periods.  Additionally, we ask that you provide lunch money, gym clothing, band instruments, etc. to your child when you drop him/her off at school.
We look forward to this exciting time at WAMS.  With your support and involvement in your child's education we can be successful.  If you have any questions or would like some clarification, please feel free to call us at (361) 660-2055.

Yours in Education,
Lucy V. Munoz
